Galvanizing Matters: Hot-Dip Zinc Coating Draws Attention in Ground Stake Industry
As demand for durable and weather-resistant ground anchoring solutions grows across global markets, many buyers are increasingly focused on one important aspect of ground stakes: the hot-dip galvanizing process and its resulting zinc coating thickness.
At Sunstone' s production base in northern China—a well-known hub for fasteners and metal hardware—a growing number of international clients have recently visited our factory to observe the entire production and surface treatment process firsthand. These visits reflect the industry's rising emphasis on product quality transparency and supplier reliability.
Surface Cleaning: The steel is first degreased to remove oils, then pickled in acid to eliminate rust and mill scale, ensuring a clean surface for optimal zinc adhesion.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The prepared steel is immersed in a bath of molten zinc at 445–465°C, where a metallurgical bond forms, creating a durable zinc-iron alloy coating for long-term corrosion protection.
Cooling & Finishing: After dipping, the steel is cooled in water or air, inspected for uniform coating thickness and smoothness, and optionally passivated to enhance durability and prevent white rust formation.
